Fancy Picture File Thingy

Zomgish Translation

If you've got like a million paper chord charts moldin' in a box (relatable), you can scan 'em into digital form. JPEG image files r ur friend here. You could also use JPEGs as fancy backgrounds for when you're projectin' lyrics & tryna look professional. OnSong imports both & figures out what you're tryna do automatically. Wild, amirite?

The JPEG Deep Dive (Srsly, Who Cares?)

JPEGs r basically just for photos since the compression thingy works without turnin' ur image into a blurry mess. BUT — & this is a big but — crank up that compression & suddenly ur photo looks like it got hit by a blizzard. OnSong can read JPEGs, but whether it'll actually display 'em right depends on how big & complicated ur image is. We're thinkin' baby photos here, not like… the Mona Lisa. OnSong sez: scan at 100 DPI greyscale if u wanna use actual paper documents in OnSong. Oh & if ur chord chart is longer than like, one page? Just scan it as a PDF instead. Way easier. Trust us.

Scanned Chord Charts (The Ones That Actually Work)

If the image is portrait-y, OR if it's landscape & those four corners r bright enough to blind u (we're talkin' average brightness over 93%), then OnSong's like "yeah that's a chord chart fam."

Lyriken-Projektion Backgrounds (Make It Pretty)

If the image is landscape & doesn't look like a scan of someone's garage floor, then OnSong yeets it into ur image library. Then u can use that background in the Fancy Video Stuff Menu by togglein' the Background Image Picker button & feelin' like a rockstar.
