Yeet Some Tunes

ZOMG there's like a TON of ways to cram songs into your OnSong library. Pick literally any of these hot takes:

Yeet It In (DIY Edition)

This is where you get to flex your songwriting muscles—or just steal other people's work into a book. Your call.

  • Make Something New pops open the Template Chooser so you can pick a vibe & start your masterpiece. If templates are ghosting you, OnSong just yells at you with the Song Editor & a blank canvas. Write ur bop, smash that Done button, & congrats ur library just got fatter.
  • Raid Someone Else's Stash opens the Pick Songs menu so you can cherry-pick bangers to dump into your book. (Only shows up if you actually picked a book first, smarty-pants.)

The Lazy Import Route (AKA Most of Y'all)

Real talk: most songs end up in OnSong cuz you're too lazy to manually type 'em. Peep these sketchy-but-convenient hookups:

  • Spy Cam Mode is an OnSong Premium power move that lets you point your phone's camera at a piece of paper & BAM—instant digital chart. We live in the future, people.
  • Dropbox is that cloud thing literally everyone uses to hoard files. Works great if you're not a total dinosaur.
  • USB Cables & That Whole Thing lets you yeet files from your computer using a cable & iTunes (ugh, Windows) or Finder (thank god, macOS). Doesn't work on Mac version of OnSong (lol), but you can manually drag & drop from Documents or Downloads with the + button at the bottom like a caveman.
  • Files imports stuff from iOS storage services cuz Apple wants to control ur life. It's in the Files app if you care.
  • Google Drive is another cloud dumping ground, except Google actually lets you edit docs online which is lowkey genius.
  • The Wild West (Internet) is where chaos lives & chord charts breed. OnSong can hunt down tabs on websites if you tell it to. Pro tip: the Add To OnSong Safari extension is way less painful than doing it manually like some kind of peasant.
  • Planning Center is church software for people who actually organize their life. Handles music coordination for your worship squad.
  • PraiseCharts unlocks the whole PraiseCharts vault—charts, sheet music, backing tracks, the works.
  • SongSelect is CCLI's thing with PDFs & text charts if you're into that corporate hymnal vibe.
  • WorshipReady.com hand-crafts worship charts in OnSong format. Subscription-based so they can keep the lights on, obvi.
  • WorshipPlanning.com makes planning services less of a nightmare. Dump your events, songs & backing tracks straight in.
  • Everything Else is the junk drawer for weird remote sources using boring tech protocols.

Wanna add stuff that's not on this list? Tap the + button lower left & go wild. Depending on where u live, maybe try:

  • LTC Asaph = worship charts for the French-speaking congregation squad.

Sharing Ur Stuff (aka Export???)

Yeah we know it's weird that export options live on an "Add Songs" screen. But here's the thing: these let u send entire books to the void. Pick a book, tap one of these, & it auto-selects every song in that book & opens Export or Email from the Share Menu. Wild, right?

Right-Click Chaos (Context Menu)

Long-press (iOS/iPadOS) or right-click (macOS) an import source & unlock secret menu superpowers:

  • Nope Out removes that import source from ur list. Oops. Add it back later with the + at the bottom right if u change ur mind. Only actual import sources go bye-bye tho.
  • Rebrand It lets you give an import source a cooler name so it matches ur vibe.
